Kippewa has encouraged me to be the best possible version of myself, which is something that I try to exercise in day-to-day life. Camp also enabled me to speak up when needed, and how to take control of any situations that arise. I think the main thing though that Kippewa allowed me to be is confident. In terms of developing my own personal sense of self, three summers at Kippewa definitely outweighed the four years I spent at university. Which is huge. I got offered a job this week that I would not have even considered applying for if it wasn’t for camp. I never really thought that I’d enjoy working with young people but Kippewa taught me otherwise. – Kirsty, Music Counselors, England
