Enrollment FAQs

How much is due with the application?

A deposit of $1500 per camper is due with the application to secure your enrollment.  Your balance is due April 30th.

Pay by credit card or eCheck: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and eCheck/ACH payments are accepted through the secure online application.

When is final payment due?

Following the initial $1500 deposit, final payments are due April 30th.  Upon enrollment, you can choose from Monthly, Quarterly or Standard payment options.

Monthly: Equal installments will be billed to your account on file on the last day of the month.
Quarterly: Equal installments will be billed to your account on file three times throughout the year (November 30, February 28, April 30).
Standard: Your balance will be billed to your account on file on April 30th.

What if my child gets injured or changes their mind before camp?

We offer a tuition protection program: Kippewa Assurance Program (KAP) – $325 per session

This optional program protects your camp investment if you find it necessary to cancel for any reason. Depending on when you cancel, a portion of your payments may be retained as credit toward a future camp session for your child or a sibling.

With KAP, the following terms apply:

  • $1,825 deposit to accompany enrollment (includes $325 KAP fee) with final payment due April 30.
  • Cancellations received prior to February 15, parent will receive a full refund of all payments (including the $1,500 deposit).
  • Cancellations received between February 15 and April 30, $750 of Camp tuition will be retained by Camp as a credit against a future Camp session and all additional payments will be refunded.
  • Cancellations received between May 1 and May 31, $1,500 of tuition will be retained by Camp as a credit against a future Camp session.
  • Cancellations received after June 1  until the start of camp, $2,000 of tuition will be retained by Camp as a credit against a future Camp session and all additional payments will be refunded.
  • If Camper needs to leave Camp early, the unused portion of the Camp tuition will be retained as a credit by Camp for a future Camp session.

Without KAP, the following terms apply:

  • $1,500 deposit to accompany enrollment (includes $250 non-refundable administration fee) with final payment due April 30.
  • Tuition and fees are fully refundable (less the $250 administration fee) until January 1.
  • Cancellations received January 1 to April 30 incur a fee of $1,500, all other payments will be refunded
  • Cancellations received May 1 to May 31 incur a fee of $4,000, all other payments will be refunded
  • Cancellations received after June 1 incur a fee of complete tuition with no refunds.

Are there any other fees associated with enrolling?

Tuition at Kippewa Point is inclusive of: ground transportation from scheduled departure points in NY and MA and the airport in Portland, Maine (PWM), canteen, trips, linens, towels, on-site medical care, daily camp photos, and one-way emails to your camper.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes!  Families enrolled before November 15, will receive a $250 Early Bird Discount.

Campers who have siblings enrolled at Camp Kippewa, Kippewa Equestrian Academy or Camp Cobbossee will receive a $125 Sibling Discount (per child).
